This September we were delighted to host the second Japanese Tea Master Course of the year!
It was a truly exciting to welcome a diverse group of students from across four continents, with especially strong participation from Central and Latin America. Throughout the course, many languages could be heard in lively conversations — not only Japanese and English, but also French and Spanish.
The students showed great enthusiasm in every activity, undeterred even by the lingering summer heat. They were able to harvest and process tea by hand in several different ways. Students also visited a number of tea factories, and had the chance to meet with Japanese tea professionals to learn about both the challenges and opportunities facing the tea industry today.
The course concluded with a graduation ceremony and closing party, where teachers, students, and family members gathered to celebrate together.
With both Master Courses of this year now complete, we are already looking ahead to 2026, and we hope to welcome many of you on the courses next year!
